Private percussion lessons are $160 per month. Families receive personalized one-on-one instruction shaped around each student’s interests and goals. Financial assistance is available so more young musicians can access meaningful music education.

Our Growing Instrument Family
Students learn and practice on a complete range of quality percussion instruments—with more on the way.
Concert Snare Drum
A professional Black Swamp maple concert snare drum, along with practice pads for warm-ups and focused technique work, for preparing concert, solo, audition, and All-State repertoire.
Marimba & Keyboard Percussion
A 4.3-octave Adams marimba for mallet instruction, including the technique and repertoire of marimba, xylophone, and vibraphone, with a full 5.0-octave marimba planned for the future.
Drum Set
A fully equipped Yamaha drum set featuring four toms, double bass pedals, two crash cymbals, ride, hi-hat, splash, and cowbell for developing a wide range of styles and techniques.
Timpani
A professional set of four standard-size timpani is on the way, giving students access to the full range used in school ensembles, All-State preparation, auditions, and solo repertoire.
Marching Percussion
A marching snare drum and tenor practice pad for hands-on instruction, with coaching also available for marching bass drum, cymbals, and front ensemble.
Auxiliary & World Percussion
An ever-growing collection of auxiliary percussion, along with cajón, handpan, traditional Brazilian pagode instruments, and other world percussion.
